The Ministry of Defence signed a contract worth ₹449 crore with Bengaluru-based Accord Software and Systems Private Limited (ASSPL). The deal is for 20 Enhanced Capability GNSS (ECGNSS) Jammers for the Indian Navy. The agreement was signed on June 10 in New Delhi.

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh was present at the signing.

GPS Jammer Indian Navy — Powers & Features

These are not regular jammers. They are smart and powerful.

Here is what the ECGNSS Jammers can do:

  • Block enemy GPS signals — stops enemies from tracking their location.
  • Disrupt satellite signal tracking — enemies lose navigation.
  • Signal spoofing — sends fake GPS data to mislead enemy systems.
  • Protect Navy ships — helps our warships move safely in danger zones.

The Ministry of Defence said: “The system’s capabilities include degrading the satellite signal acquisition and tracking performance of the adversary GNSS receiver and signal spoofing or deceptive jamming. The induction would pave the way for safe operations by the ships of the Indian Navy in a multi-threat environment.“

Accord Software and Systems Private Limited is based in Bengaluru. They will deliver 20 ECGNSS Jammers under the Indian-Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured category with a minimum of 75% indigenous content.
