RRB ALP Recruitment 2026: Apply for 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot Posts Before June 14

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026):
- Minimum: 18 years | Maximum: 30 years
- Age relaxation applicable for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Railway rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates with Class 10th + ITI, a 3-year Engineering Diploma, or an Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline are eligible to apply.

Selection Process
The RRB ALP selection process 2026 consists of four stages:
- CBT 1 — 75 objective questions (Maths, Mental Ability, General Science)
- CBT 2 — Advanced technical paper
- CBAT — Psychological aptitude test (no negative marking)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination
The authorities use CBT 1 scores only to shortlist candidates for CBT 2. They carry no weightage in the final merit list. A 1/3 negative marking applies in both CBT 1 and CBT 2.
Salary & Benefits
Assistant Loco Pilots are placed at Pay Level 2 under the 7th Pay Commission. The starting basic pay is ₹19,900 per month. With allowances, total monthly earnings range from approximately ₹25,000 to ₹35,000, depending on the place of posting.
