Eligibility Criteria for BIS Recruitment 2026
Candidates must meet one of the following service conditions:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis;
or - Serving in Level-6 of the Pay Matrix with at least three years of regular service.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration, MBA, with Personnel or Finance specialisation of two years’ duration from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institution;
or - Post Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Human Resource Management or Finance of two years’ duration from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institution.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Period of Deputation
The deputation will initially be for two years. It may be extended by another one year at the discretion of BIS.
Pay and Allowances
Selected candidates will be posted in Level-7 of the Pay Matrix. As per the official advertisement, the officer may either draw pay in the level attached to the deputation post or draw basic pay from the parent department along with deputation allowance as per DoPT rules. Other allowances will be governed by BIS rules and regulations.
